At STAC, we offer some of the best opportunities for actors to get to know the other side of the audition room, providing unrivalled insight into the minds of casting directors. Through our casting workshops at our Waterloo, stage and screen actors are able to understand the motivations of casting directors and get to refine their own processes as a result.

Clare has worked in casting for over 8 years. Her most recent film SETTLERS, starring Brooklynn Prince, Sofia Boutella and Johnny Lee Miller is currently in post production. Other recent credits include Associate Casting Director on Official Secrets (feature film), Treadstone (TV series) and Jack Ryan (Amazon Studios).

Clare was an Associate to Kate Dowd for several years where she worked on a variety of film and TV projects.

Previous credits include Eye in the Sky (feature film), Me Before You (feature film),The Hurricane Heist (feature film), Still Star Crossed (TV) We Die Young (feature film), The Book Thief (feature film), Stonehearst Asylum (feature film), Galavant (TV Series), The Assets (TV mini-series), as well as Pilot Season for ABC (2012-16) and Warner Brothers (2012-2019.)

Clare has also cast a variety of short films including BEAST (Billie Piper and Sinead Cusack) and VERT (Nick Frost, Nikki Amuka Bird & Olivia Vinall)

Francesca has been working in casting since 2010, with her first job being on 'Captain America: The First Avenger' as Priscilla John’s assistant. Since then she worked across multiple genres in both film and television including sci-fi, action, horror, crime and mystery. Her credits include Logan, 6 Underground, Medici, Transformers: The Last Knight to name a few. 

​

More recently she cast 'Exterminate All the Brutes' for HBO, co-cast the third series of the critically-acclaimed 'Das Boot' and has just finished working on series 3 of US hit TV Series 'Atlanta' as Casting Associate alongside Kate Rhode James.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our online casting workshops are led by leading professionals in the industry. 

The Casting Director will look through all the Actor's individual CVs/showreels and select scenes. The Actor's must then SELF-TAPE their scene and send it back prior to the workshop. Self-tapes will all be watched during the workshop.

How to Prepare

YOU WILL NEED

  • To submit your self tape on time.

  • To download the ZOOM app prior to the workshop.

  • A strong internet connection. We advise testing your connection before booking on to a workshop.

  • A webcam/camera (We recommend you use a laptop although a phone could also work)

  • This workshop is for professional Actors over the age of 18.

  • Booking closes 48 hours before event.

  • All workshops we do are in compliance with the CDG guidelines.
